This guide has been developed to assist you in choosing which leaflets to use. It will help you assess the key points that ensure a leaflet "works" and is easily understood.

We suggest you fill in the "Getting started" page (next page) for each leaflet you decide to use as a general public information leaflet. You can then print or save the final score at the end of the test.

Remember that a leaflet works best when it is used as a back-up to verbal advice.
